Choosing a WMS

Having decided to invest in a new warehouse management system (WMS), the first step is to request the creation of a user requirements document.

The user requirements document specifies which features the WMS should possess.

The system offered reflects the information provided in the user requirements document. The accuracy of this document is therefore very important.

The user requirements document also forms the basis of the detailed specification document, which describes the processes to be implemented by the software. We often finalise the details of the requirements document in a workshop with the customer. At this stage, time can be saved with efficient off-the-shelf software.

The detailed specification document is drawn-up by CIM GmbH, describing all processes, user interface elements and printouts.
