Choosing a WMS

Having decided to invest in a new warehouse management system (WMS), the first step is to order the creation of a user requirements document.

The user requirements document specifies exactly which features the WMS should posess.

The more precise the requirements document, the better the supplier can deliver the product as expected.

The user requirements document also forms the basis of the detailed specification document, which describes the processes as implemented by the software. The requirements document is often finalised in a workshop together with the customer. At this stage, much time is spared in the presence of a good standard software.

The detailed specification document is provided by CIM GmbH, describing all processes, user interface elements and printouts.
