Logistics/Special features

Graphical display of containers in paternoster. Both small and large containers are located on the same shelf. A graphical display aids the task of picking at the paternoster. The system is embedded in a SAP environment. Container numbers are scanned in via a SAP screen. Management and control of the parts in the containers is the responsibility of PROLAG® World. Three containers are stored in a row in the small parts store. The double-cycles on storage and retrieval cause these to change places.

Control System

The automatic small parts store is controlled by a Siemens S5 control system. This is connected to PROLAG® WOrld via a H1 bus converter, ethernet and TCP/IP. The WMS controls the small parts store using a Witron messaging system. INAT Echochange converts TCP/IP to H1-Bus.

Users

The paternoster system has 5 PROLAG® World clients. Additionally, one client is used by SAP from the Klinkhammer facility to picking, two are used by the control system. In total, 8 clients.
